MIA IN BLACK

Mia is one of the doll classes I will be teaching at AFIC - May 3-6 , 2007. The original Mia is in green, gold and lavender. The new Mia is in Black, gold and white. Wanted another sample of her to take to class so my students could see the different looks of Mia.

LISA HEAVEN'S DOLL CHALLENGE "CANDI & HER STORY"

Candi is the doll I made for Lisa Heaven's Doll Challenge. CANDI is called EYE CANDY KEEPER WITH AN ATTITUDE OF MAGIC". Candi decided to use her magic on her new yummy looking fabric heart. Candi turned her yummy looking fabric heart into a never ending chocolate heart coated with yummy colored fabric.

Candi carries her yummy magical fabric heart everywhere she goes. When she sees someone worried, sad, confussed and unhappy she works her magic and gives them a piece of her heart; her magical chocolate heart that is. You see.......Chocolate is indeed magical, it makes people happy even if it's just for a few minutes. If you ever need some magic in your life just call Candi at Yummy Magical Heart or look over your shoulder for her and she will give you a piece of her magical yummy fabric heart. Yummy Magical Fabric Heart will put a SMILE on your face.

GOOGLE EYED CLAMS

My grandson, Cain wanted to make Google Eyed Clams. He sketched the Google Eyed Clam and then we got all the supplies out and we made them. LOL!!! Cain and I had lots of fun making his Google Eyed Clams.

I made a girl, her name is Google Eyed Lilly Clam. Cain made a boy, his name is Google Eyed Blake Clam. We had lots of fun and had lots of laughing while we were making them. What a fun time Cain and I had today.

Here's Rachel getting dressed. She will have arms, just haven't put them on her yet. Rachel is telling me she thinks she wants black hair now. Don't be surprised if Rachel is black headed next time you see her. This gal is giving me fits with all the changes. I'm giving up for the night and going to go to bed. I will work on Rachel tomorrow and maybe finish her.

This is a picture of Rachel's face. She's not finished. the lace and fabric you see on her is just pinned on for her picture. I know I'm working backward on her but couldn't wait to get her head on her shoulders. Not sure if I'll use the blue and the fancy lace on her or not. I'm working on the rest of her body and costume. Rachel is my own pattern and press mold. Rachel's Press Molds are made by Master Mold Maker Jeff Goshon. I hope to finish her soon. Rachel's Body pattern and Press Mold will be for sale.



LITTLE GIRL

Here's my sculpted little face painted. It's hard to get a good picture of this little one. Holding the head in my hand seems to be the best picture. :-) If you click on the picture you will get a larger view of the little face. Will start working on a body for her soon. :-)

SCULPTED 1 2/3 Inch LITTLE GIRL FACE

I had to take a break from the new doll I'm working on. It was being a pain so had to work on something else. :-) Sooooooooooo, I sculpted a tiny little girl face. I measured the little face and it's 1 2/3 inches. I'm showing the sculpted face not painted. I will paint the little face tomorrow, then I'll post it.

ANTIQUE OLD FACTORY BOUDOIR DOLL HEADS

I'm working hard to get stuff put in the plastic container drawers. LOOK What I found. LOL I knew I had them and I knew where they were. I protect them. I've had these for several years. I bought them from a lady on ebay. These are from an old factory find. WOOOHOOO !!! One of these days I hope to make a doll or two or more out of them. I collect Antique Boudoir dolls. PROGRESS ON MY NEW STUDIO

Here's a couple of picture of the walls in my new studio. Walls are Apricot Lily and Bee Pollen. Next the wood flooring will go in. WOOOHOOO it won't be long now. There will be a fake window too. My hubby will build my work table, cabinet for fabrics, book/magazine rack/case and shelves. The picture with the door seems to be showing up looking like pink but it's not pink it's the color of the top picture next to the yellowish green wall. Pictures aren't very good. Must be the person taking the pictures. LOL Hope to be moved into my Studio by the end of March or early April.

I finished 2 New Wall Hanging Dolls, "Alma" & Saraswati".

Now I must finish pattern instructions on a couple of other dolls "Rachel" & "Abella".

Back to the 2 New Wall Hanging Dolls "ALMA" & "SARASWATI". I started them sometime ago. Since my studio is in such a mess and I can't get to my sewing machine I thought I would finish them.
Here they are. The orange/gold/brown is called "Alma" Spirit of Nourishing Soul. The pink/purple/green is called "Saraswati" Goddess of Art. These doll will be a pattern with a clay face mask. I will put Alma and Saraswati in pattern form after I finish "Rachel" & Abella. "Little Dolls From My Soul" pattern w/pressmold are finished. WOOOHOOO !!! I'm getting there slowly but surely.

BACK TWO PAGES OF MY RR RECIPE JOURNAL

Here's the back two pages in my RR Recipe Journal. There's enough pages in my RR Recipe Journal for each to do 2 pages. I can't wait to see all the RR Recipe Journals finished. ROUND ROBIN RECIPE JOURNAL

I'm doing a Round Robin Recipe Journal with 12 other ladies on Fabricdollart group. I had lots of fun making mine. I did the front cover and two inside pages of my journal. CLASS I TOOK FROM BARBARA WILLIS SAT.&SUN.

The last couple of days (Sat. & Sun., yes I missed half of the Supper Bowl BUT I got to the Supper Bowl Party at half time. WOOOHOOO) I was taking Barbara Willis "Whisper" class. Our doll club Las Vegas Silver Doll-Ers had Barb come and teach. Of course I couldn't past up taking a class from Barb. It was the first time I met her. Barb is a wonderful teacher and a nice lady. We had lots of fun.
The class was great. We didn't finish our dolls in class but we went away with enough to finish them. I finished mine last night when I got home. I did do my own thing on her torso instead of putting the corset on her. She's hanging between my living room and kitchen. If you ever get a chance to take Barb's class DO. I've made wall hanging dolls, etc before BUT you always learn something new in every class you take. I learn new ways of doing some things in Barb's class.
