CREATING

Well, tomorrow I get to start creating again. WOOOOHOOOO!!! I don't have to work our perfume shop for the next 6 days. Tomorrow I will work on my new online class for DollStreet.
I have 3 new pressmolds that I have to make bodies for and write the instructions for. I'll start on one pattern at a time. :-) So much to do !! It will all come together the way it's supposed too. I can't wait to get back to creating. I've missed it since I've had to work at our perfume shop the past couple of weeks everyday. Now Christmas is over it's back to one day a week. HURRAY!!!

I sculpted the 2 Pirates two years ago and gave one to my grandson Cameron for his room. His room is made like a Pirate ship. His Mommy (my daughter) is an artist and she did his room like a Pirate ship. It's really neat!! She drew the Crow's Nest on the wall and put a wooden shelf up for the Pirate to stand on. The other Pirate will go to my grandson Cain.  Actually this one in the picture goes to Cain. I didn't post the pic of the one for Cameron. Will later.

OH!! My Kitchen is FINISHED!!! The shutter were installed a few days before Christmas. I will take pictures and post them.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas/Holidays. We had a wonderful Christmas. Christmas Breakfast is at our house every Christmas Morning. My hubby loves to cook.
Family and Friends were over for Christmas Breakfast. Everyone had a great and fun time.

I haven't anything new to show y'all. I do have 3 new pressmolds but I don't have the dolls finished. I will show them to you when I finish them. NOW it's TIME to get BACK to CREATING.

CHRISTMAS TREE - GINGERBREAD HOUSE & KAT

Here's a picture of my Christmas Tree.

My Grandson Cain and I made a Gingerbread house this morning. He had so much fun making it. I was there to give him help. He's pleased with it and can't wait until his Mama picks him up this evening so he can show her his Gingerbread house. Cain didn't even want to take time and comb his hair or eat breakfast. LOL LOL!! Him and Grandpa are out getting their hair cuts now.

I posted a picture of my cat, Kat. He weighs 24 lbs, well the last time I weighed him, I keep telling him he's part Panther. He's a sweetheart.
Got to get ready and go to the shop and help out. We are really busy and will be from now through Christmas Eve.

ANGEL & DOLL CLUB GATHERING

Our doll club Silver Doll-Ers did not have a regular meeting this month. Diane one of our members invited us over to her house for a Cookie Exchange and a Christmas Bird project OR we could bring something to work on. There were 7 of us and we had lots of fun. The other members that didn't go REALLY MISSED OUT ON THE FUN & COOKIE EXCHANGE.
This is the Christmas bird I made and it's hanging on my Christmas tree. I also made 17 little stockings for my 17 grandchildren. I also made 3 big stockings for 3 of my grandchildren. I didn't make all those stockings in one day. ROFL I'll have to take pics of them and post them tomorrow.

I've been working on Earth Angel for awhile now. I just finished her tonight with some of those feather picks I bought at Michael's today. Earth Angel is for a Secret Santa Swap. Got to get her in the mail next week.

STARBUCKS & CHRISTMAS BAGS

As some of you know I LOVE STARBUCKS!! Here's a pic of a couple of new ornaments on my Christmas tree you might find interesting. I Love them. :-)

Aren't the Christmas Bags CUTE? I got them while out shopping with my daughter Nicole today. Paid $1 each bag. Got them at the Dollar Tree. These are nice size bags and the Snowmen, SnowLady & Santa are made of Fabric, buttons, broom, plastic violin. Wish I had bought more and saved them for next year. :-) Maybe I'll go back tomorrow and buy some more. heheheh

TWO MORE BROOCHES

Here's two more Brooches in my Fancy Lady Brooch series. I have 4 more ready to paint and dress. Going to take them with me tomorrow to our perfume shop and work on them while I'm not busy. Hope I'm busy selling perfume but I do want to finish the other Fancy Lady Brooches.
I think these pictures are a bit blurry. I took several pictures and these were the best ones. Probably the lighting in my studio and the paint I used too.

RACHEL ONE OF MY NEW PRESSMOLDS COMING SOON

I wasn't going to show Rachel until I got her pressmolds from Jeff Mold Master. BUT I painted her face and I just had to show y'all. I'm finishing her body and costume. When I totally finish her I will post a pic of her. I just pinned hair and fabric on her to show her face. She's do to change hair colors. Just like a woman. :-)

I also have 2 other pressmolds with Jeff Mold Master. I haven't painted Abella's face yet. When I do I will post a pic so you can see her. My little 7 inch pin dolls pressmold is with Jeff Mold Master. Hehehehe sounds like I just gave Jeff a new middle and last night. ROFL.

ROSES IN NOVEMBER

Here's a picture of roses I cut from my rose bushes in my back yard today. I love this time of year and so does my rose bushes. They don't do so well in the dead of the Summer in Las Vegas.

I finished 6 little hats for a Teapot Swap BUT I forgot to take pictures of them before I packed them and mailed them.

I took Sherry Goshon's Mermaid Baby at Doll U this past Sept. I'm giving the doll to my granddaughter Kaeleigh for Christmas. I had to redo her neck because I didn't let the paper clay dry enough and when I pulled the thread around the neck area .......... part of the neck popped off because it wasn't dry. Now she's ready to get her head attached. I'll post a pic of her when I get her head back on her shoulders. :-)

I made a homemade Apple Pie earlier tonight and BOY did it make the house smell GOOD!! Can't wait to eat it tomorrow. Ken does most of the cooking. He makes the Turkey & the stuffing. I make the veggies, mashed potatoes, etc. etc. etc. The kids and grandkids are coming over tomorrow.

WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING Etc Etc Etc .........

Picture is Alissa my Hoffman 2005 doll that traveled for a year. I got her back a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad she is home and she's in perfect condition. :-)

Yesterday (Friday) I worked on hats for a teapot swap and worked on a RR doll & journal. I also worked on revising a pattern of a doll I designed several years ago. I wanted to get it out before Christmas. I HOPE I get it revised soon. If not I will get it out before Valentines Day.
I also am working on body patterns for two new dolls I will be releasing soon with pressmold faces (waiting for the pressmolds from master mold maker). Their names are Rachel and Abella. I'll be releasing my 7 inch pin dolls with pattern and pressmold soon too (waiting for the pressmolds to arrive). Some of you have seen them before. Last night my hubby took me to see Trace Adkins, Billy Currington & James Aldean in concert. WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!! IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!! this was one of my birthday presents. :-)

Today (Saturday) I went shopping all day with my daughter Nicole. We had a good time together. My feet are killing me. LOL !! This is why I don't like shopping. hehehehe It was a nice day out with my daughter Nicole. I have to catch up on emails too. :-) We went to a ScrapBook shop. WOW!!! They have lots of wonderful stuff.

Tomorrow I will continue to work on things I need to finish. :-) I have Christmas stockings to make for 3 of my grandchildren too.

KITCHEN FINISHED EXCEPT FOR THE WINDOW TREATMENTS

Here's some pics of my Kitchen finished EXCEPT for the window treatments and they should be in place in the next 2 weeks. Well, that's what Home Depot said. :-) I HOPE. We ordered Ebony wooden Shutters for the windows and roll up wooden blinds for the sliding doors. I'll post some more good pictures where you can see the whole back wall. I just wanted to get some pics posted so y'all could see. It's a BIG change from what my kitchen was. :-)

MY BIRTHDAY

I haven't posted in awhile. Been busy with life. My kitchen is almost finished. Ken and I have a few finishing touches and it's finished EXCEPT for the window treatments. We aren't sure if we want to put up wooden shutters or curtains. SOON we will decide. I'm working on several new dolls and pressmolds and patterns.

I also just had my 58th birthday. NO I don't feel any older. I want to stay young. hehehe
I got the most WONDERFUL present from my wonderful husband Ken. I love Mel Carter's song HoldME KissMe ThrillMe. I had his records (45 rpm) but they melted in a house fire years ago. We have looked for this one record forever and Ken finally found one in England. Well, I now have it and am THRILLED. Ken also found Mel Carter's CD with lots of his songs.
I'm in HEAVEN listening to them. I might wear them out. hehehehe Ken also gave me tickets for him and I to go see Trace Adkins and Billy Currington this Friday night. WOOOOOHOOO!
My daughter Brandi got me two tickets to see THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER and one of those tickets is for her. So we are going together to see THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER in Jan. WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY PRESENTS AND MY FAMILY !!!

Another Kitchen In Progress Report

Here's another Kitchen in Progress report. :-)
This is the dinning area of our kitchen. Our new table and chairs arrived this morning. There will be a light over the table. Ken is putting it up tomorrow. We hung the pictures just a few minutes ago. The cabinets are coming along nicely. Ken will finish them tomorrow. WOOOOHOOOOO!!! We are gettting there. :-)

KITCHEN IN PROGRESS

I've tried several times today to post pic of my kitchen in progress but blogspot wouldn't let me for some reason or the other. ???? SOOOOO Here goes another try.
The red is Licorice Stick. The yellow is Vanilla Bean. The red gets one more coat tomorrow and then the painting of the walls are finished. We are going to redo the cabinets but not sure what color yet. Thinking pull out the darker color in the hardwood floor and put a wash on the cabinets. ?????? It remains to be seen. :-)
Will post more pics when totally finished with the kitchen.
Off to visit with our friends Maurine and Allen. Yes out to supper. Weight Watchers is under control. LOL LOL!!

Hello

Hello,
I haven't posted in awhile. My hubby Ken and I went to Texas to visit with our sons and family. We went to the Texas State Fair - Had a BLAST there with thekids and grandkids. We looked at some new houses for sale. WOW!! Beautiful homes inside and out.

I didn't take my camera but our kids took pics. They are supposed to send them to us. The weather was nice until the day we left. It rained all day and night. Thought our plane would be delayed but it wasn't. WOOOOHOOOO!!! Well, it was 30 mintues late taking off NOT due to the weather Due to passagers that didn't belong on our flight. LOL LOL! Everything worked out.

Now it's time to get back to creating. I have several things in the works. :-) I have no room left in my studio to work. OOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! The past two days I have been rearranging my studio. Don't know what I'm going to do with everything. OH MY!!! I took everything out and put it in our guest bedroom. hehehehehe Now to find a place in my studio for all the stuff. LOL LOL!!!

Toby Keith & ATC's

Toby Keith concert was FANTASTIC!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! My daughter Brandi and I enjoyed every minute of it. Brandi's father in law gave us the tickets. Ford is the sponsor and he works for Ford. That was nice of him to give us the tickets so we could go see Toby Keith. It also was an enjoyable night out with my daughter. We had FUN!!!
I made some ATC cards for a ATC swap I'm in. I made them yesterday and finished last minute work on them this morning. Thought I would show y'all what I made. Enjoy them.
I had fun making them.
Well, Ken and I are off to one of our friends house and then out to supper with them.

Nothing to show y'all. I've been busy cleaning my Doll Studio for the past few days. I can't work in this mess BUT today it looks better. I also have been working on doing instructions for my Bliss pattern. GOSH! It's taking me awhile to do this pattern. I'll finish it tomorrow. WOOOOHOOOOO!!!
GUESS WHAT???? I'm going to go to see Toby Keith tonight with my daughter Brandi. She has tickets and asked me to go with her, she knows I like Toby Keith. For the ones that don't know who Toby Keith is he's a big Country Music star. WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

I spent the last two days taking Arley Berryhill's Le Femme class. Here's a pic of my doll, her name is Angela. She's not finished. The dress is just pinned on her and the skirt is just a piece of fabric pinned to her and it's too much fabric. :-) BUT it looks good. :-) Our club had fun and lots of great doll were made. I can't wait to see them finished. I will finishe mine and when I do I will post a finished pic of her. Her eyes are a bit too close. That happened when we were needle sculpting the eyes, it pulled them in closer than it should. OH! WELL!!

BRANSON, MO & MARINE REUNION

The reunion with my hubby, 3 of his Marine buddies and their wives was LOTS OF FUN!!! This is our 3rd year of getting together. Next year it's going to be in Delaware & Washington DC.
My hubby Ken had a SURPRISE for me on our Wedding Anniversary which is Sept. 11. This was our 12th anniversary. Him, the Marine buddies & their wives all kept a secret from me.
On Sept. 11th we were going to the Court House for a Memorial & they told me that they were going to take pics and put the Marine reunion in the newspaper. OK that was fine. WELLLLLL!! When we got to the court house. We all were standing outside of the court house and Ken turns to me and asked me if I would marry him again. I said, SURE!! He had it all planned before we left for Branson. The court clerk had flowers that Ken ordered for me and the wedding party. We renewed our vowels. It was nice and I was SURPRISED!!! I've got a jewel of a husband.

Here's a picture of a purse I made almost 2 yrs. ago. I made fabric Yo Yo's for flowers and adding them to the ribbon leaves I made. I sculpted the head out of Pro Sculpt clay.

Marine Reunion

My hubby Ken and I will be leaving for Branson, Mo. at 5 A.M. we will return home on Wed. 13th. I'm taking the new magazine Beyond Paper Dolls with me. I got it in the mail today. WOOOOOHOOOO!! It's a great magazine. Get it if you don't have it already.

I still have some packing to do so I better get off the computer.

Lilly Fae

Meet Lilly Fae. She's just a sketch for now BUT she's going to come to life soon I hope. She's been haunting me from inside my head for about a month now. I drew her and now I have to make her into a doll. GEEEEEZZZZZZ!! I have lots of dolls haunting me inside my head, some have been haunting me for a long long time. I have this little girl that really really wants to be born. She's dressed in a real pretty blue dress and long coat to match. She also has a beautiful blue hat to match her dress and coat. She's a victorian little girl. You see my mind works all the time. :-) You should she a couple of beauties that want to be born also. :-) We shall see which one comes out first.
NO I'm NOT Crazy !! Just have a very creative mind that works all the time but never gets too far. LOL

ANOTHER NON CREATIVE DAY

Today was another Non Creative Day for me of not making a doll. :-( I did however get our Doll Club's newsletter finished. I have to send it out tomorrow. Still working on Bliss' pattern between the newsletter and running to the post office, Wild Oats and our Perfume shop. Bliss is sitting here on the computer desk watching me and wondering why I'm not finishings her pattern. Tomorrow is another day and Bliss pattern is top priority. I promised her!!

Our club is having Arley Berryhill to teach his Le Femme doll Sept. 16 & 17. Arley is a member of our club Silver Doll-Ers. GUESS WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE PRE WORK DONE. YES, ME!!! NOW HOW DID YOU EVER GUESS THAT!!! LOL LOL!!!
I really should be working on other things instead of writing in my Blog. :-)
On that note I'm going to bed. NITE NITE!!

HOW WEIRD

NOW THAT'S REALLY WEIRD!! The same post posted twice yesterday. MMMMMMMMMMMM!! Wasn't like that when I posted last night. Wonder if this one will post twice. hehehehehehe!!! Maybe today I'll get to work on a doll instead of writing pattern instructions. I also have to do our doll club newsletter that should have been done already. A GIRL'S GOTTA TO WHAT A GIRL'S GOTTA DO!!! :-) Such as life. I still have to go shopping before Ken and I leave on Saturday for Branson, MO. Going to Ken's Marine Reunion. It'll be fun seeing the guys and the wives again. They are fun. Y'all should see the booklet Ken does every year for each of the guys. The reunion is in a different state every year and he does a booklet pretaining to the town that the reunion is in PLUS the Marine stuff he puts in about them. It's really good. Our 12th Anniversary Sept. 11th will be during this time too. SOOOOOOOO, I get to spend my 12th Anniversary with several Marines and their wives. It will be nice with all the fun things Ken has planned for all of us. Maybe we should have him plan a doll conference. :-) I bet he would be good at that too. He loves the dolls. When we owned a little Doll Shop years ago he amazed me at the stuff he new about dolls. All my doll talk and books rubbed off on him. :-)
I better get off here so I can get to work on finishing Bliss' pattern instructions.

MY DAY

My Day was a busy one around the house. I stayed in my nightgown ALL DAY! LOL LOL

Ken hurt his back a couple of days ago climbing out of the boat and he's not going anywhere for a few days. He won't be going fishin for awhile. He wasn't even fishin when he hurt his back. He was in the boat in the garage cleaning the boat. He has lots of back problems anyhow.

I worked on my Bliss pattern some more today. I should have had her finished a couple of months ago but everything seem to come first for one reason or another. I have Bliss' body and wings pattern almost all typed. Tomorrow I will finish it and take it to the printer. WOOOHOOO!!!! One more thing I can mark off my long long long long list of things to do. :-)
I think we all have one of those list.

Just Words & A :-)

I didn't play today like I wanted too. I worked in my Doll Room all day cleaning and re organizing it. ROLF!!!! Just like it's going to stay organized. ROFL!!! GOSH!! I have way too much stuff in here and no room for it all. At least I can walk on the floor without tripping over something. VBG!!! Maybe tomorrow I can work on something new. I've looked all day for a couple of my patterns I designed last year and I can't find them. I must have put them in a box and put them in the garage. GEEEEEZZZZZZZZ!!! It's too hot to go out there and look for them. I really do need them soon. If not I will re design them. I have the dolls so I can do that. Not what I want to do if I don't have too. Going to go watch a little TV with my Honey.

My Granddaughter Brittany is in Doll Crafter & Costuming magazine with Sherry Goshon. Sherry had Brittany make her baby doll pattern Brie. Brittany had fun making her she named her doll Kristany. Here's a few pics I took of Brittany working on the project. She really had fun making this doll. Brittany thinks a lot of Sherry and loves Sherry's work. I think the article came out great. I can't wait for Brittany to see the magazine. She'll be over in the morning.
