I had SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun making my Jester Chair. I already had the Jester sculpted. He was like Goldielocks, it was JUST RIGHT and he is still sitting in his Jester Chair. It was made for him. This class was for the Reno Retreat people from Las Vegas. What a wonderful fun time we all had with Jean and making chairs. Silver Doll-Ers Doll Club had Jean teach her chair class a couple of years ago but these chair are different than the ones we made then. Jean let us go WILD with our imaginations.

WHAT I"M DOING

Well, I haven't posted in awhile. This is what I'm doing...............Been taking my grandson Cain to school and picking him up from school everyday this week. Today is his 10th Birthday. I'm taking cupcakes to his school this afternoon for his Birthday. Ken (grandpa) and I took him to see a movie after school on Tuesday. He's going to have his Birthday cake tonight.

I've been working on lots of things, ordering stuff to sale on my sales table at EDAC in July. Cutting lace, ribbons, seam binding, Tibetan mohair skins getting them all ready to hand dye. I'll be hand dying all of it next week. I've got dolls cut out ready to sew together. I'm writing up my pattern instructions for new doll patterns , pressmolds and printing older doll & pressmold patterns to package. Can't forget to take pictures for the pattern covers. AND THERE'S LOTS MORE besides what I just typed. I WISH I COULD CLONE MYSELF. Hehehehehe! It would be nice. Just think, I could get everything done in a few days and if I cloned 100 of me I could finish in one day. Hehehehehe It surely would be nice if I could BUT reality makes me do it myself. :-) You know a Girl Can Wish!!!!

LIL CLOWN

Meet "LIL CLOWN" I made her in Diane Little's class. She was here in Las Vegas teaching "Silver Doll-Ers" Doll Club on Monday. We had soooooooooooo much fun!! It was great seeing and visiting with Diane again. :-) All the girls loved her class. Diane is a wonderful and fun teacher. I finished my doll tonight, I'm giving her to my granddaughter Brittany tomorrow after her ankle surgery. Brittany is going to be soooooo SURPRISED when she sees "Lil Clown"

POLYMER CLAY CANE CLASS

POLYMER CLAY CANE CLASS I TOOK TODAY!!!

I took a polymer clay cane class today. It was fun. Each month there's a different polymer clay class. I really enjoyed the Cane class. Here's a picture of the canes I made. I'm HOOKED!! It is so much fun making the canes BUT it takes a lot of work to make them. Not bad for my first time. :-)

HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!
My Mother's Day has been wonderful. Two of my daughters Brandi & Nicole and their husbands and kids (my grandkids) and my hubby Ken took me to I Hop for breakfast. YUMMY YUMMY!! it was good. All the kids gave me a bracelet, earrings, necklace, Angel, a hanging crystal, flowers and there's more but I don't know what it is yet until my daughter Angela mails it to me. :-) Then Nicole came over this afternoon and we went shopping at Bath & Body Works, got lots of smell good stuff. :-) Warm Vanilla Sugar of course!!! my favorite. We went to JoAnn's. I WAS VERY GOOD while in JoAnn's. I DID NOT BUY FABRIC! I must be sick!!!!
I bought large and tiny wooden spools and Fabri Tac glue. See, I told you I was good. THAT HAD TO BE A FIRST FOR ME!!! No Fabric!!! MMMMMMMMMM!!! I must be slipping. LOL LOL!!
Ken and I are going to his sister's for supper. Really been a nice day. :-)

TODAY, YESTERDAY AND OTHER DAYS

I haven't posted anything new or old lately. I've been busy with life and other things. Most of us know how that is. :-)

I am working on several dolls, patterns, etc etc etc. The list goes on and on and on and on.

I hope to post some pictures in a few days. That's not a promise, it could be longer than a few days, knowing me and how things seem to happen that has to be taken care of ASAP. Keep checking for new stuff.

MINI CLASS FOR ENCHANTED DOLL ARTISTS CONFERENCE

"LADY COLLAGE" I designed her for a mini class on Friday evening July 18th that I will be teaching at Enchanted Doll Artists Conference. The conference is July 17-20; (Some people arrive before the 17th) People arrive for the conference on Thursday July 17th, one and two day classes are July 18, 19 & 20th(Friday. Saturday and Sunday). Mini classes are July 19 & 20th.(Friday and Saturday nights). We all go home on Monday July 21st OR some stay a few extra days to check out New Mexico. GOING TO MM&M IN KENTUCKY

HI ALL,
I'm going to MM& M (Magic, Mischief & Mayhem) in Kentucky. I have family in Kentucky but won't get to see them. They are about 3 hours away from where I will be. That's Okay though, I'll be busy creating dolls, having fun, meeting friends and making new friends. PLUS I get to go back to my home state for a few days. I will get to see green trees and houses on nice green acreage. I live in the desert and houses are sitting 10 feet on each side. YUCK!! I do have green grass in front and in the back. I also have beautiful roses. It's still the desert. :-) I will return home on Monday the 21st. Until then I won't be posting to my blog nor on a computer. :-)
I'll post pics of the 2 dolls I'm making in Natalie's class and Barbara's class.

Well, got to go finish packing supplies and clothes. I'm leaving tomorrow evening. I'll still have time to get those last minute things in my suitcase. LOL LOL!

JUST WORDS TODAY :-)

It's just going to be words today. I'm working at our Perfume Shop today. Ken hurt his back several days ago and needs to stay in bed another day or maybe two. He says he's going to work at the shop tomorrow. ????????? We shall see. :-) Poor guy, he's been in lots of pain.

The tempture is really nice today; in the high 70's. Nice breeze blowing and lots of sunshine as it is most of the time. The weather man says it's going to hit the 90's by the weekend or early next week. Not looking forward to the HOT TEMPS in the Summer. I have beautiful roses in my back yard. They love the cooler temps. They don't like the HOT Summer. I even have roses at Christmas time. :-)

I brought doll work with me to the shop :-) When not busy selling perfume, etc I can play dolls.
I really am working on doing Pre Work for MM&M (Magic Mischief & Mayhem) that I'm going to next week in Kentucky. Annie Hess is the wonderful doll artist that puts this doll conference on. Take a look at the site. http://www.anniedolls.com/

It's going to be fun. Natalie Hamade and Barbara Schoenoff are the teachers. WOOOHOOO! Nothing like putting off until the last minute to do my pre work. That's me. LOL LOL!! I still have a week. :-)

WOOOHOOOO!! My Round Robin Doll came home today along with Pammy's Round Robin Doll. I worked on Pammy's doll and I will put her in the mail tomorrow. Pammy you are going to love her.

I love my Round Robin doll. She's BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you, Pammy, Judi W, Judi A, Sherry, Natalie, Jan and MaryO. Each one of you did beautiful work on her. Thank You. She also had a little traverler with her. Jan made her a little Lite Fae. She really lights and flashes too. She's as good as can be. Thank you Jan. Someone put a beautiful crocheted or knitted neck scarf . Which one of you make the neck scarf? Thank you, I love it. The colors are just PERFECT!!! Love those colors. I just took a closer look at the neck scarf and it looks like it might be knitted------Now I wonder which one of you it was. Come on and tell me. I LOVE IT!! I LOVE MY DOLL and her Lil Lite Fae.

COMPUTER

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!! My computer is FAST now.
We had the computer man over for 3 hours working on my computer. Upgraded the ram and new driver and did a few other things. Now I don't have to sit here thinking I must be on a phone line when I'm really on wireless. It's nice and fast. :-) Now I can get my work done.
I'm HAPPY!!! :-) WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!
Back to working on an online class I'm going to be teaching in April. Now it won't be a nightmare to work on.

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

Wishing eveyone a HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!! Are ya wearing green? I hope so, you don't want to get pinched do ya????? :-) I have corn beef cooking as I type. Company coming over for supper. We are having corn beef, cabbage and boiled potatoes. YUMMY YUMMY I'm hurgry now. :-)

On another note, I'm on my hubby's computer because mine is VERY VERY Sick at the moment. :-( Long story but hope to have her up and running tomorrow after the computer man works on it. :-) My husband is NEVER ALLOWED to work on my computer again. He deleted stuff out that he should not have. This is not the first time this has happened and it WILL be the last time he makes my computer sick. LOL LOL :-) His fingers love hitting the wrong keys and/or hitting the delete button. He doesn't read the little notes that pop up, he just hits delete, etc.

SWAP DOLL FROM BARB

Here's pictures of the swap doll Barb made me. Isn't she the cuties. This one is a Spit Fire. hehehehe When I opened the box she had her arms folded and looked at me and said, "LADY! It's ABOUT TIME YOU LET ME OUT OF THIS DARK HOT BOX". She's sitting her looking at me and saying SURE you have to tell everybody what I said when you opened the box. She still has her arms folded. HOME FROM SEDONA & DOLL SWAP DOLLS

MEET "VIOLETE CARMELA"



Violete Carmela now lives with Barbara of Lavender Lollipop Lane. We were swap partners. I designed Violete Carmela for Barbara and for my newest pattern OR class. Haven't decide which one yet. She's 14 inches tall, she will sit, hang or stand on a stand. She's cloth, paper clay with cloth over. I am making another one but she won't be just like Violete Carmela, Violete is one of a kind.

My hubby and I had a wonderful and fun relaxing time in Sedona, AZ. If any one goes to Sedona be sure and eat at COWBOY'S in the Silver Saddle room. OH MY! The food is to die for. It's really YUMMY!!! best I've had. The Art Galleries are great, lots of wonderful creations. The mountains and rock formations are beautiful. All in all Sedona is a fantastic place to have fun and relax.

DOLLS IN QUILT SHOW

WOOOOHOOOO!!!! Margie In Flight won 1st place and Fairy & Her Quilt won 2nd place. I'm soooooooo excited. One of the gals that is working our doll club booth today called me and told me. :-) I will be working at out doll club booth tomorrow. I will see my dolls that were judged then. I will take pics of them with their ribbons.

Now I have to get busy cleaning my studio. It looks like a tornado went through it. Have to clean it so I can work on more creations.

FAIRY AND HER QUILT

MARGIE IN FLIGHT

Meet Margie In Flight and Fairy & Her Quilt. These are a couple of dolls I've been working on. I'm working on other stuff and doing everyday life stuff.

I've had a couple of health issues I'm taking care of. I'm okay for now and I WILL continue to be okay. I have problems with my thumbs, been going to PT and going today to be fitted for thumb splits like baseball and skier have to have sometimes. :-) I have fiber cysts and a couple of lesions in my left breast and they aren't being nice. Had an ultrasound and have to go back in 6 months for another ultrasound. Been to the doctor several times. Not cancer. Have to watch them.

On to a happier note. :-) Here's pictures of Margie in Flight and Fairy & Her Quilt. Both dolls will be going to the Desert Quilters Of Nevada Quilt Show this weekend. Our doll club also will have a booth in the show. This show is GREAT and FUN. Lots of shopping. :-)

LOL Looks like pictures of Fairy with her quilt and Margie in flight went on top. That's ok. :-)

JANUARY 14, 2008 I'M BEHIND !

Well, I'm behind again. Maybe I should change my name to Behind Frannie :-)
I wonder if I'll ever catch up on everything I need to do. If I do I will have to live to be 400 or 500 years old and then I don't think I will be caught up. SO, I'll have to live forever. :-) Don't I wish ! A girl can dream can't she??? LOL

I'm working on a deadline project. I'm having fun with it. I will finish it in a few days and get it into the mail. I'm also working on new online classes, new dolls, new patterns, new pressmolds, etc. etc. etc. O an I'm working on lots of other stuff too. Aren't we all. Some days I can finish a project in one day and others take me days. Depends on the mood I guess. Today has been a good day for the deadline project, it's coming right together. WOOOOHOOO! I love when that happens.
I will be working on a couple of dolls to enter in the Desert Quilters of Nevada quilt show. Our doll club will have a booth to sell our dolls, doll supplies, display our dolls and recruit new doll members for our doll club, Las Vegas Silver Doll-Ers. The show is Feb. 8, 9 & 10, 2008 in Henderson, NV. This is our 4th year having a booth in the quilt show.
I guess I've rattled on enough for tonight. I think I will go night night now.

Today starts a brand new year. Another year to get it right; what ever right means. :-)

END OF ANOTHER YEAR 2007

This is my last post for 2007. It's been sad, it's been good and it went by way too fast. I couldn't keep up with my doll making, patterns, etc. with everything else I had to do. 2008 is going to be lots of doll making , patterns, pressmolds, online classes, teaching, etc. :-)
All in all it was a good year, I'm still here and my family is doing good. My hubby Ken and I are getting ready to leave in a few minutes to go celebrate New Year's with some of our friends. We will watch VEGAS Fireworks from their house. Vegas does put on a wonderful fireworks display.

MY SNOWMAN & SNOWMAN FROM SWAP

THIS IS ONE OF THE SNOWMEN I MADE FOR MY HOUSE. He is sitting on my fireplace mantle. He is a cutie and I call him Cutie. He made me smile as soon as I placed his little blue bead eyes on his face.
I'm having way too much fun making snowmen this year. :-) I have more Snowmen & SnowLady but that will be another day. Scroll on down past Cutie and see the SNOWMEN I got from my SNOWMAN SWAP Partner Debe.

I received my Snowman - Snowmen I should say from my Snowman Swap partner Debe. THANK YOU Debe. I love them. I love the old/Victorian look snowmen. I love the coffee stained or old coffee stained drag behind your truck look. WOOOOHOOO The chocolates are yummy. Think I will not share them with my hubby Ken. :-) This swap was soooooooooooooo much fun. Debe is a wonderful artist. Thank You Vivian for hosting the Snowman swap.

CHRISTMAS TREE & /ORAMENT SWAP

This is our Christmas tree in our living room. It's 9 feet tall. This is the tallest tree I have ever had except for when I was a kid growing up. Back then we had real Christmas trees. We lived on a farm so we would go into the woods and cut our own. This is the orament Shashi made for me. We were partners in a Orament swap. It was lots of fun and I love my orament Shashi made. It's beautiful. Thank You Shashi. It will hang on my Christmas tree every Christmas.
Of course I had to buy the new Starbucks oraments. I bought 2 Starbuck cups oraments last year BUT this year the Christmas cup came with a bag of coffee orament. I had a cup of the Christmas blend tonight. I LOVE STARBUCKS!!!
I will post more pictures tomorrow. I have to finish decorating inside. I had to stop decorating inside today and go outside and help Ken decorate outside. The weather was beautiful today in the low 60's. Doesn't feel like Christmas here.

Here's a few pictures of some snowmen oraments I made for our Christmas Tree. I'm making more. My daughters want one. I'm also in a Snowman Swap but I can't show that one yet. :-)

WISHING ALL A HAPPY THANKSGIVING ! We will have a house full tomorrow. Two of our daughters and 4 of our grandkids will be over. My hubby's sister and her hubby will be over.
I can smell the turkey cooking now. YUMMY YUMMY!! My hubby Ken cooks the turkey early on Thanksgiving Morning. Sure does make the house smell YUMMY!! Brings back childhood memories. I was raised on a Turkey Farm. My grandfather owned a big farm. We had regular black turkeys and we had white turkeys. Nothing prettier than a field full of white turkeys.
I have a scar on my leg where a turkey spurred me. We were vaccinating the turkeys and I had to hold it by it's feet and one foot slipped out of my hand and spurred my leg. OUCH!
OOOOO! but those were the good ole days.

BEAUTIFUL SKY IN LAS VEGAS

These pictures were taken around 3 P.M. one afternoon in front of my house. This is when the California smoke was coming in to Vegas along with the unsettled atmosphere in our area. We do have some beautiful cloud formations from time to time due to the atmosphere in Vegas. The Rainbow is from the atmosphere not from having rain. We had NO RAIN and we HAVEN'T HAD RAIN IN A LONG TIME. Really pretty sky isn't it? ***** When you click on the pictures you will see a helicopter flying by.

NEW CAMERA & PRACTICE PHOTO

I bought a new camera BUT don't know if I want to keep it or not. The booklet with how to's don't tell too much how to's. I DON'T LIKE instructions that don't tell everything about something. Right now we are trying to figure out how to make the pictures smaller when I crop them in the program. YES, I stayed with Kodak camera because I have the program and it works great EXCEPT for the new pictures are LARGE!!! I'll post one here and see what it looks like. Nice size photo here BUT click on it and see how LARGE it is. :-)

DEAD DOCK-----DEAD CAMERA

IN MEMORIES OF DOCK & CAMERA

The above picture is a picture the camera took several Halloween's ago in Carson City, NV and of course the dock sent it to the program in the computer.

Seems I killed my Camera and Dock. The dock was dying several weeks ago. Nothing could be done except replace it. Cost more to replace it than it would be to buy a new camera and dock. The camera was holding it's own UNTIL last night........OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I took a few pictures of my Black & White Challenge doll. I plugged the camera into the computer so I could send pictures to the Challenge. The dock was almost dead and wouldn't and couldn't send pictures after that. Pictures got to the Challenge BUT POOR POOR DOCK TOTALLY DIED----------THEN in a matter of MINUTES THE CAMERA TOTALLY DIED TOO!!! SPOOKY!!! I thank them both for waiting until I took pictures and sent them on before they DIED!!! It was just like them to hang on until the last minute. May they both REST IN PEACE!!! They were well used. They were good to me while they lasted. NOW I MUST buy new ones tomorrow to replace them. Well, they are going to miss Halloween!!! EEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!

JUST A NOTE

Well, it's been awhile since I blogged. The traveling is over for this year. I'm rested and ready to start designing new dolls, patterns and pressmolds. I have several new dolls in process that I have to finish. Traveling like I did this year took alot of time from my designing. I know my cat, Kat is happy I'm home for awhile. He doesn't leave my side. When you have a 25 1/2 lb cat stretched out in the bed between you and your husband, it's like having a kid in bed with you. He's like a kid. :-) I get up during the night and he's right behind me. LOL LOL!! I go into my studio and he's right behind me. :-)

I still have to purchase that new digital camera. I hope to do that this weekend. Looked at several but haven't decided on which one to purchase. I sure do miss my digital camera. Didn't find the one I was looking for. Will still try and find it.

I'm working at our Perfume Shop today BUT I did bring doll things with me to work on when not selling perfume.

I also lost all my links I had on my blog. I have to re-do them also.

Just wanted to let y'all know that I will be blogging more real soon.........so keep checking back.

NO PICTURES JUST WORDS

Well, I have no camera to take pictures with so I will just have to type words for now. :-)
My digital is out of commission. I have to go out and buy a new one. Going to Costco tonight, will look at the digital cameras. I'm lost without my digital. :-(

My hubby Ken and I were in Dover, Delaware last week at my husbands Marine Reunion. We spent time in Washington, DC. Several of his Marine buddies found each other 4 years ago and they reunited with each other. Next year they are going to have their Reunion here in Las Vegas. There were only 13 Marine's out of their unit to come back home alive from Viet Nam. They have found 6 alive and 3 have passed away since. They haven't found the other4 yet.

I'm working on cleaning my studio today SO I can get back to Creating. I have several projects going at one time. Nothing unusual about that. LOL

I will be leaving on Wed. for Reno, NV to go to Sherry Goshon & Jean Beanard's class. Several of the girls from Las Vegas are going along with several people from other states. We are going to have a FUN time. I'm looking forward to seeing my good friends Sherry & Jean again and meeting new friends.

In Oct. Ken and I are going to Kentucky to see my family and friends. I haven't been home in 3 years since my Daddy passed away. It will be good to see my brother and family again.
This should be the last trip we take until next year.

I'm going to go back and finish cleaning my Studio. :-)
